Rhea Xie is a multilingual poet, writer and translator. She is an alumna of the Iowa Young Writers’ Studio and currently a high school sophomore. She works across English, Mandarin, and Greek.​

She believes literature has the power to change the way people see the world and one another. Some of her work is inspired by history, while other pieces grow from personal experience. She hopes her writing encourages readers to question familiar narratives and imagine a more just future.

Rhea Xie's work has received National Gold recognition from the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, along with recognition from The New York Times and DePaul University. Her work appears or is forthcoming in journals including Asymptote Journal, The Penn Review, South Florida Poetry Journal, ONE ART, and Gone Lawn.
